So much to do, so little time to do it all. I can’t believe that until now, I haven’t yet written a post this year.

I’ve been thinking about all the things I want to accomplish this year as I’m sure most of you have been too. I stopped making new year resolutions several years ago because I thought I often ended up setting lofty goals which were not easily achievable. Rather, my overall annual goal is simply progress in every area of my life. I then continue to maintain my regular to-do lists and try to check off as many things as I can as I carry on with my daily activities.
I began work on a series of pieces – Rocks and Gems at the latter part of the previous year. This week, I put the finishing touches to the first in the series: Rocks and Gens #1. I’m hoping to do the stitching on #2 in the next week or so and thereby complete that one too. I’m already enrolled in two classes this year. The first is a one-year master class for artists. That’s already showing signs of being a tough class to take alongside all the many hats I already wear. The second class is a short term class on abstract art for painters, which begins next week.
I’m also in the process of getting some of my artwork together for a show that opens at the end of this month and runs through to March. Running around, ordering supplies, contacting shippers, waiting for artwork to arrive from different locations. Phew!! As I started off by saying: ‘so much to do, so little time….’
