I want to let you know about a new exhibition. My work – “Rhoda” is included in the group show entitled “Embodied Knowledge” which will be on view at Ely Center of Contemporary Art from June 11 – July 30.

This exhibition was curated by nico wheadon of the bldg fund. It explores the concept of embodied knowing, or that knowledge both resides in and can be conducted through the body.
I found the theme intriguing and worthy of careful investigation. Therefore, I was thrilled to learn that nico had selected my piece Rhoda as one of the many artworks in the show. I love nico’s work and feel honored to be in a show curated by her.
The artists featured in Embodied Knowledge each uniquely consider: how ritual, performance and labor cultivate a deeper sense of self in relation to society; how radical intimacy subverts prescribed social roles and formations, welcoming more instinctual ways of knowing; and how direct observation and introspection catalyze the transfer of wisdom across time, space, and constructed borders.
Please come and view the exhibit at

Additionally, there’ll be several opportunities to enjoy the exhibition. For example, Ely Center will be hosting public lunch time tours of the exhibition. These will happen on Wednesdays: June 14, 21, 28 at 12:30pm. They will also be host to two ticketed tours of the exhibition as part of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas. These will occur on June 22 & June 25 at 3pm. At these events, you don’t only see the exhibit, you’ll also learn about the historic building in which it’s being shown.
Regular hours each week will be Sundays 12–5 pm, Wednesdays 12–5 pm, and Thursdays 3-8 pm
Finally, I’ll be at the opening reception on Sunday, June 11 from 3-5 pm. I hope to be able to connect with you there. See you soon.
Warmly,
