Hey Friend, The Crown Gallery Opening for my show “All Things Being” was on March 27. It opened to an amazing attendance of people from all over the North East, U.S. According to the executive director of the gallery, there were at least 600 people at the opening reception.

Can you believe that? 600 people on one day. It was awesome. I can’t imagine how many people will come through by the end of the show.

In this show, I’ve got 4 pieces from my new series plus works from 3 other figurative artists – Sarah King, Susan Clinard, and Suzanna Schlemm. You can learn more about my new series in some of the other posts I’ve written about them. In this particular post though, I want to talk about the opening reception.

So now, let’s chat about the Crown Gallery opening. The day coincided with open studios for the close to 40 professional artists who have art studios in the old renovated Crown Factory building. So, there was a lot of buzz indeed.

It was heart warming to see so many folks come out, driving from far and near to come see the show. Art is something that sustains our lives. So, with the pandemic and lockdowns these past two years, people were happy to jump at the opportunity to see a really strong exhibition.

I’m so proud of my fellow artists who participated in the show with me. All the works in the show worked so well together. You’d think that we coordinated with each other the pieces we’ll each put into the show.

Moreover, I’ll tip my hat off to the gallery director. She did a really great job in curating the show and making sure that the pieces which were chosen worked well together.

I was beyond ecstatic at the Crown Gallery Opening. I was happy to meet new people, make connections, see my work through the eyes of the visitors, answer their questions and just celebrate the opening of the show.

At the end of the day, we got tons of photos of the event. I wish I could share them all with you. However, that isn’t possible. I hope the few I’ve shared with you allowed you to feel like you were there with me.
